Bob Haxton is an artist, home designer, and licensed building contractor based in Ashland, Oregon.

Bob studied art and design at Whittier College in Los Angeles County. From the early 1980's through the 1990's he built many private residences in the Venice Beach Canals, including designs by Frank Gehry & Associates and other modernist architects.

In partnership with his wife Linda Haxton, an award-winning real estate broker, Bob founded Haxton Design in 1999, which later became BH Homes & Design. The couple has been designing, building, and selling homes in California and Southern Oregon for 30 years. Bob is an active member of AIBD, American Institute of Building Designers.​

With his extensive background in home design, Bob Haxton began painting, not only to expand his individual expression beyond drawing architectural plans, but with the intention to enhance a viewer’s personal connection to their space. Using home finishing techniques to layer paints, inks, and washes, he builds dynamic layers of color and texture in a minimalist style. Often focused around a central meditative form, bold accents stand against fog and earth tones, and crisp lines exist among freeform strokes.
